About the Project
Beyond Meat is a plant-based meat company which I chose to redesign its packaging and word mark. I gave the packaging a creative spin to it, by designing a character on the front to try and encapsulate the feeling a consumer would get from eating the burger. I focused on the colours and the expression of the character and its design elements, to grab consumers attention when they see it off a shelf. The typography also played a huge factor into how the packaging stands out from deciding on the right typefaces, to adjusting the weights and tracking, and making sure it is eligible from afar. The packaging design would spike interest in the chosen target audience of vegans and flexitarians, from the choice of colours that represent health, to how the packaging effectively communicates the important information such as the nutritional facts and ingredients.
