Dynamic Ambience in Unity 2022
About the Project
In many games, when walking through a forest, there is a simple global ambience layer that plays that represents every location within that forest. For my project, I wanted to create a dynamic sound system that allowed each individual tree to play its own tree rustling sounds, while keeping it performant and realistic for implementation in a potential commercial game.
To accomplish this, the Dynamic Sound system was programmed and implemented by me, which dynamically allocates sound sources to nearby foliage to give the impression that each individual tree is alive.
